Ansar and VDP's responsibility
9. (1) The main responsibility of the army shall be-

(A) to assist government or government under public safety and to participate in any other security activities;

(B) To participate in any welfare work directed by the government for the development of socio-economic conditions of the country.

(2) In particular, and without prejudice to the content of the above provisions, the army, at the direction of government, will assist and assist the forces described below, namely: -

(A) ground forces;

(B) Navy;

(C) Air Force;

(D) Bangladesh Rifles;

(E) Police force;

(F) Battalion Ansar

8. (1) The main responsibility of the Village Defense Party shall be: -

(A) To participate in public welfare activities for the socio-economic condition of the country;

(B) to provide support to law and order and public safety;

(C) To perform any duties prescribed by the government, from time to time.

(2) Members of the Village Defense Force can carry and use weapons and ammunition, subject to the provisions made by the government and its terms, from time to time, given directions and imposed conditions.
